This module is the missing link between Furby enthusiasts and music lovers (that is, the specific set of ‘music lovers’ involved with the construction and usage of modular synths). This module allows you to add the unique look, feel and sound of a 1998-style Furby to your rack, giving full control over sample playback and granular synthesis.
The module is completely FABable with a 3D printed animatronic face, laser cut modular build plate, epoxy cast-able eyes, customised Raspberry Pi Pico Powered electronics and software built on the Arduino framework. The module is displayed in the equally quirky ‘Arcade Synth’. Important to note is that no real Furbies were harmed for (or during) the construction of this work.
